The Ocean Hiker sailing course is more than just a sailing course. This ailing course has been carfuly created by Island Cruises Yacht Charter in Koh Tao Thailand. In the Ocean Hiker Course you will learn the most important skills to become a useful crew member on a sailing yacht. The course combines all the basic knowledge traditionally taught in a Competent Crew Course. Additionally you will receive unpayable first hand world cruising experiences.
The extended sailing course combination of the Ocean Hiker Sailing Course will take 6 days and you will attend every day 5 hour sailing sessions right of the coast of the Island of Koh Tao. After completing the 6 days sailing course we will embark on a passage to one of the surrounding islands here in the Gulf of Thailand. We will sail between 50 and 80 nautical miles distance. The destination will be widely depend on the weather and the time of the year when the sailing course is held. The passage wil take about one day. Sailing students will be accommodated ashore in bungalows or tents. The following day sails will be set again to sail back to Koh Tao. This passage-making will give you more experience and about 50 to 80 additional nautical miles for your logbook
